WHO WE ARE
A brief about BOOF
The Ben Ova Okojie Foundation(BOOF) is a non-profit organization built on the belief that every life deserves dignity and care. We are dedicated to uplifting the most vulnerable members of less-priviledged communities by focusing on the pillars of health, welfare, and education.
Our work takes us to the heart of communities—visiting orphanages to bring joy and companionship, ensuring no child goes hungry through our feeding programs, and stepping in during medical emergencies to settle hospital bills for the sick. Beyond immediate relief, we invest in the future by covering school fees, ensuring that children have the opportunity to learn, grow, and break the cycle of poverty.
Toucing Lives
We are committed to affecting lives positively, when we care for an individual's wellbeing, we strengthen the entire community. Every hug shared tells a child, "You are not forgotten;" It transforms a feeling of isolation into one of belonging. We strive to be a bridge between community's generosity and the urgent needs of the most vulnerable among us, every life touched is a step towards a more compassionate world. We invite you to be a part of this journey. Together, we can ensure that more lives are not just touched, but transformed.
Family to the Famililess
Don't know if there is any word like famililess, but in all sincerity, with a few past encounters; this will be the best word to use to describe visiting orphanages and showing some love to the fatherless and motherless; seeing the smiles and joy on their faces after being given gifts silently whispers "YOU ARE MY FAMILY". BOOF is and will be forever happy to be a Family to the Famililess!
Tackling pressing matters to save lives and keeping smiles on faces
Have you ever being in a situation were a family member is about to loose her life if money in millions is not raised in nothing less than 6hours, Do not wish it for anyone, Sometime ago BOOF was able to co-contribute to save a family from loosing their loved one who is now well, alive and kicking today, the JOY this brought on the faces of the family members after a successful transplant was priceless!
HELP - Our Forever Destination
In a world of about 8.3 billion people, HELP is our only keyword tool and way of affecting, improving and touching lives, For us, its a passion and its rooted in our mission aims and objectives, Our focus keyword is HELP!!, BOOF is destined to HELP!.
Hunger Must Stop
The "Hunger Must Stop" program is the heart of the BOOF’s humanitarian efforts.
Launched to address the immediate nutritional needs of the less privileged, this initiative focuses on reaching the most vulnerable populations who often fall through the cracks of society.
Through this program, we organize regular food distribution events at orphanages, public schools in low-income areas, and street corners where the homeless gather. We partner with kind-hearted donors and volunteers to cook and serve meals that provide essential nutrients.
Through our periodic food drives and meal distributions, we take nourishing, hot meals directly to those who need them most. Whether it is serving food under a bridge, in a makeshift shelter, or at a community center, "Hunger Must Stop" transforms the abstract concept of charity into a tangible act of love. We are not just filling stomachs; we are restoring hope and letting the marginalized know they have not been forgotten.
CESI
Children Educational Support Initiative
Education is a fundamental right, yet for many less-privileged children, it remains an inaccessible dream. The Children Educational Support Initiative (CESI) was launched by the Ben Ova Foundation to bridge this gap and ensure that every child, regardless of their background, has access to quality learning.
Our mission is to act as a support system for families struggling to keep their children in school. Through CESI, we identify bright and vulnerable students and step in to cover the full cost of their education. This includes the payment of tuition and examination fees, as well as the procurement of essential scholastic materials such as exercise books, pens, school bags, and uniforms. By providing these critical resources, the Ben Ova Foundation is not just funding an education; we are investing in future leaders and contributing to the development of an empowered, literate generation.
WOTP
Welfare of the People
WOFP "Welfare of the People" program is the Ben Ova Foundation's dedicated arm for health and humanitarian relief. It was born from the urgent need to intervene when underprivileged individuals fall sick or face harsh living conditions with no resources to fall back on.
This initiative focuses on two key areas:
Medical Assistance: We step in to settle outstanding hospital bills, purchase prescribed medications, and fund emergency treatments for indigent patients, ensuring that poverty is not a barrier to receiving quality healthcare.
General Well-being: We promote a decent standard of living by distributing essential items such as clothing, blankets, sanitary pads, and toiletries to street communities and impoverished families.
Through "Welfare of the People," the Ben Ova Foundation acts as a lifeline, providing both urgent medical relief and the everyday necessities that preserve human dignity.
